Just curious what everyone calls it. I know this can become a heated discussion with some people lol but curious to see what most people call it.

it really depends on the area of the country. In the midwest down to the south its strictly considered pop and I find it very entertaining when they get frustrated when you ask for a soda.

I have had this conversation with a co worker in great depth and even when I use reason she will not listen lol. I know all of you here are reasonable so lets see what the dictionary says lol.

I'm originally from NY where it was always soda.

So I was surprised when I got to AZ in 1972 and it was commonly called pop.

Now, 40 years later, I don't hear anybody calling it pop anymore.

Maybe because everybody here now got here from someplace else.



By the way, maybe we can start a poll based on the regional differences between "bag" and "sack."
