Does new york state have a melting point law? I asked my lgs they said no. I cant find anything on google. I was going to order a revolver from buds gun shop but they said its prohibited in my state due to melting point laws.

I didn't read it all, too long and wordy. So in other words if it melts easily it can't be purchased? Or if it's too expensive it will stay out of the hands of criminals? Kind of confused cuz either of those excuses won't change things.

Just like pretty much any gun laws, the quality of the materials won't reduce illegally obtained firearms. Think about the cost of cheap massively produced machine pistols for an example. Maybe it's an ingram mac 10, Maybe it's a polymer interdynamic kg9. As nfa machine guns, they will cost thousands of dollars to legally own on top of other fees and wait times for background checks. On the street, a couple hundred dollars at 3:00am on 5th and main behind the Chinese restaurant, and they'll throw in some hand reloads with steel cores. It's easier to get your hands on higher firepower illegally.

Buds wont ship Heritage, Cobra or Phoenix firearms to NY...in case that is where you're looking. Grab A Gun or others aren't so picky on what they ship when it comes to stupid **** like this.
