Just wanted to give everyone a heads up regarding a good resource I've found. GunTalkTV puts up episodes of their "First Person Defender" show on YouTube. Each episode is about 15-20 minutes long (including the same commercials in every video), and covers a different shooting scenario with concealed carry holders.

They use Simunition rounds and put an unknowing civilian in the scenario, then train them on something they could have done better. It is a great way to identify where your own skill set might be lacking, and broaden your thinking in terms of what you need to be prepared for.

They just added another 4 episodes for 15 total. I consider them well worth the time for anyone who carries a firearm for personal protection.

They are good videos... I believe there is one with the owner of Crimson Trace... They are all rather interesting

Absolutely. People LOVE to play the scenario game. Inevitably, the scenario they are planning for is one that justifies their choice of gear, training, and tactics. Usually the scenario involves one person, without a gun, a good distance away. The thing is crime statistics don't seem to support that from what I can glean, and at any rate, if you are going to make decisions based on the most likely outcome, why are you carrying a gun to begin with?

Good stuff.

I must have missed this in the past. I just came across it on my own. I almost made a duplicate post (...thank you search function!).

First Person Defender by GunTalk TV | Official Crimson Trace

First Person Defender, a new web video series from Gun Talk TV takes regular "good guys" (and gals) and puts them in an intense, real life, self defense situation. FDP uses Simunition™-converted guns and ammo, laser sights, and force-on-force training to see what works and what doesn't. The results are educational...and painful.
