Famed Baltimore neurosurgeon Dr. Benjamin Carson addressed the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday morning on healthcare. Dr. Carson often criticized Obamacare and government intrusion in healthcare while President Obama sat in the audience. Dr. Carson encouraged a program where newborn babies are given health savings account as an alternative to Obamacare.

Any particular part that gets to the point? I can't sit through 27 minutes of this drivel.

Caught this the other day, Obongo in general just has no idea how to comprehend common sense or digest anything his party hasn't coughed up. This guys's pinky has a higher IQ than Obongo and Biden put together..

That was very inspiring to listen to. Obama was put on the spot and did not look comfortable. This guy gives me hope that this country can get back on track. If we can start by getting our 2A back, maybe everything else can go back the way our founders envisioned it.

I love how uncomfortable obama clearly is!
I do not want to come off in any racial way but this guy should have been our first black president.

You're opinion is noted, but Dr Ben Carson's speech was certainly not silly nonsense talk.

Well said. If you noticed, one of his greatest fears is the lack of dialog, reasoning and understanding and how this is reflected in politics these days.
This situation is often driven by one of the most fundamental reasons for human suffering which is the most primitive form of ignorance as also experienced in post #2 of this thread.
We all have seen and heard many times how politicians and the media exploited the suffering of latest victims of senseless violence to accuse honest citizens and misinform a fearful population that is pre-conditioned by low education standards, conformism and the lack of objective thinking.
But the politicians and the media have not created this situation of fear, they are just exploiting those fears to further their radical agendas.
This ignorance, fear and resulting polarization of opinions in our society is impacting the making of many bad policies like health reform and Dr. Carson is giving Obama a good dose of human intelligence to demonstrate how ridiculous his socialist policies are, including Obamacare.

He can expect the IRS to be crawling up his rear, and reviewing the last 10 years of tax returns. Great speech the good Doctor gave.

As an aside, they were discussing this on The Five last week. As expected, Beckel was relating how inappropriate it was to be political at a prayer breakfast. Apparently it's okay if you're a Republican president (think Bush), but not if you're his messiah.

Alright, I gave it another shot. You're right, after the first 4 or 5 minutes it gets pretty decent. He's certainly a good speaker and his points are well thought.

As far as Obama's reaction...I saw an arrogance. Not much more. He looked like someone thoroughly convinced of his own correctness simply listening to an opposing view because someone told him he had to.

I am glad you did listen. I know it is hard for many including myself seeing Obama there in the first row but we all have to give an example to
the narrow minded liberal radicals how to listen and how to show there are other alternatives to socialism. I think Dr. Carson gives Obama a good dose of that missing common sense so typical in Washington these days. Dr. Carson says he hates PC. I do too.
Like general Patton once said: "This political correctness is all a bunch of horse dung" ... and we know PC gets in the way of reasoning and getting things done.
Like Dr. Carson, I wish more doctors, engineers and other professionals were in higher numbers involved in politics and not only lawyers, lobbyists and paper pushers.
The USA would be in a much better shape.
