This guy prefers the M1 because the .223 rounds slip through his fat fingers.

Yeah, I noticed the next day that it does not sound right.Grammer Nazi has something to say:
"It is 'All of a sudden', not 'All of the sudden.'"
Grammer Nazi has spoken. xD
It used to be the other way around. When I was growing up and hunting in the northern tier you either owned a 30-06,270 or Winchester 30-30Its a NY thing,in PA everyone has a 30-06 or a 270.....With see through mounts of course, just in case your scope fogs up!!!!
There just allowing rifles in many county's now,and I see many are using 308's.....A lil South of me in PA its all 30-06 or bigger country! It used to be the other way around. When I was growing up and hunting in the northern tier you either owned a 30-06,270 or Winchester 30-30
NYS recently changed hunting rules so a .223/.556 can be used for hunting said:I recall reading years ago, bullet diameter had to be .223 or larger. Always wondered if the 223 Rem was legal since technically, the bullet was .224 diameter. In upstate NY, 6mm or 243 was a popular caliber.
Had six 308's at one time but down to my last, an fal. Haven't purchased ammo in over thirty years since reloading components are so plentiful, especially military powder and bullets.
Your talking about the 30-06 right? For pure unadultered penetration! Nuff said.
Bingo!!You're just by default going to have a larger group of folks buying the common calibers. You see a huge increase in the .223/5.56 purchases and .308 purchases
.308 147gr FMJ will about rip through anything.Your talking about the 30-06 right?
Even if a .308 AR was still legally obtainable, with really great bolt guns going for up to a thousand dollars less, I always found it hard to justify.Well I wish 308 AR's were not so expensive but I guess the old saying is if you want to play you gotta pay. I would love to add an AR in .308 to my collection.
