The 2nd circuit ruled that its no longer a requirement to divulge your social media accounts.

What’s funny about that finding is now NYS is signing law making it illegal for companies to request the same thing. So maybe they can learn…..

I don't know anyone who was asked for their user names on their SM accounts, just which platforms they used. But Im sure some licensing agencies asked for it. And asking for it and having to give it up, has been enjoined, at this time, moving forward.



It was, and is no longer required. That doesn't mean certain licensing agencies aren't going to ask anyway, it seems some do what they want, anyway, regardless what the courts say.

Interesting. The Queen just signed legislation making that against the law; S2518.

That's funny, because she had that as a requirement for her CCIA. Her BS requirements are going to get dismantled one by one.

I’m still confused/concerned that legal oversight of the executive and legislative branches don’t intervene. Abuse of legal processes to suppress a demographic against standing law.
