just wondering if anyone has any experience with the venture in .308? I am looking for my first bolt action rifle and it seemed like a good deal.

I love mine! Shoots great, I got 1/2''-3/4'' groups during break in shooting with American Eagle 150 grain FMJ's. And bagged a 7 pointer opening day this year, no tracking involoved with a 150 grain Nosler partition about 75 yards. Great buy!

They have a front swivel stud on them so a Harris or Caldwell Bi-Pod will fit just fine wiyhout any modification whatsoever......Should be the same one that fit's a Rem 700...

Sure thing ! Another tidbit....I don't own a Venture but I have shot one and they are smooth as silk....It was the Predator model,.204 Ruger.....That is one smoking round...!
