In the liberal remake of "Casablanca," the police captain comes upon the scene of the shooting and orders his men to "round up the usual weapons."

It's always the weapon and never the shooter. Twelve people are murdered in a rampage at the Washington Navy Yard, and before sundown Sen. Dianne Feinstein has called for yet another debate on gun violence. Major opprobrium is heaped on the AR-15, the semiautomatic used in the Newtown massacre.

Let's have Congress do a simple test. Take any gun, best if it is black and scary looking, lay it on a chair and wait and see how long it takes before the gun starts killing people. Never?? It didn't kill anyone by itself?? In the land of innocent until proven guilty, what happens when innocence is proven? Easy - the libs try harder. If at first you don't succeed, keep going until you make a damn fool of yourself.

I like that idea! Take a new gun load it up and place the safety on and lay it on a table. Then tell Congress that as soon as the firearm shoots all by itself with no outside influence from a person then they can start passing gun control laws because guns would really be the problem.

While I like Krauthammer for the most part, he's not a "shall not be infringed" type.
