I'd like to know what kind of round he shot off that started a fire!?
A tracer round perhaps? Any way you slice it, this story doesn't add up. Slovenly journalism is to blame. For all we know it was a grease fire on an outdoor grill and a propane tank caused the explosion. Too boring for the journalist so substitute "grill" with "AR-15" and "propane tank" with "ammo cache".

"Officials in Tennessee say that a father and his 12-year-old son died over the weekend after an AR-15 assault-style rifle accidentally discharged, causing a fire and then a series of explosions in a room full of ammunition."

???

What? So the gun went off by itself? Ammunition doesn't "explode." They've filled houses to the brim with the stuff and lit it on fire for Fire Department training. No explosions at all. There's more to this story and the media is once again guilty of cutting out details and sensationalizing what actually happened.
