I didn't view it like a bash to the AR or gun owners at all .... do the armed forces not use AR's in combat? Maximum security prisons? Police/SWAT tactical teams? He called it what it is ... it's a combat rifle in reality BUT .. it's actually more sporting setup than combat I will agree. I think this show could go either way .... hot or flop BUT Sons of Guns I don't think it is, is it? I think this is more of a "Ted tryout and review" type of thing. Remember ... he's in a free state and gets to do things we here can't without being labeled a criminal. I'm so use to seeing Uncle Ted in a tree 30' up with a bow, that this is a totally different look to me and I'll watch it just to see if it's an informative show or another scripted to heck drama series. It does look pretty neat and you can tell he's new to the AR. LOL

That pink striped AR Uncle ted's wife had looks like the .243 she used on the hunting show to take down a whitetail so you can't say they don't use AR's for sporting purposes. He is more apt to use a bow on that show though.

It is not a combat rifle in reality, it is a semi automatic sporting rifle.
Armed forces and the others listed use assault rifles, you know, select fire combat rifles not ARs
Wholly different animal.

It isn't an assault rifle, it isn't a machine gun, its just a firearm.

Its slips like that that the antis glom onto. 'Look even super pro gun Ted Nugent thinks its only for combat! Why do we continue to allow civilian people to own combat arms? blah blah ban blah restrict blah control blah confiscate blah blah'

How can you not see that?

I doubt it was deliberate on his part, but its that kind of slip up that will absolutely be used to put the ****ins to us down the road.
Though him making it seem like they are just toys with no purpose beyond combat but blowin **** up and poppin zombies won't help either.

On the other side of that, I don't want it to be a "sporting" anything. Why is "sporting" jammed down everything to do with guns? That or hunting. "Yeah, that can't be imported, it has no SPORTING use." "Sporting" is another anti word in my book.
