i recently picked up one of these and love it. Probably one of the best 22lr guns I ever owned. The build quality is actually very good, everything feels very solid, all the switches are very tight and positive. Shot 200 rounds with no failures, and its incredibly simple to clean too. I highly recommend this pistol.

I have one by Iver Johnson that is a PT22 I wonder if Taurus bought Iver Johnson.
It is a great little gun to stick in your pocket for a quick trip out and I have had the same experience as you but over 20 years and at least a thousand rounds thru it, I taught my son how to shoot it when he was very young.

I have the PT25. Lots of failure to feed until I polished the inside of the magazine lip which serves as a kind of extension of the feed ramp which also polished with a dremel an some Flitz. Has a 9 round magazine but can only legally have 7 rounds of 25 cal ammo. Its nice looking and feels good to hold.

I don't trust mine for self defense.
