I have a buddy selling a spas 12 with the new updated push button saftey what are these guns worth in good/great condition?

I'd say around $600ish, maybe a bit more. I know you didn't ask for opinions, but they are the most uncomfortable shotgun I have ever shouldered. IMHO, they look cool in the movies and it stops there.

I"ll disagree with this, I own one and it is very comfortable, just a bit heavy, but that = less recoil.

edited price range to reflect different configurations.

Things to look for are:

position of front sight (forward = good, rearward = bad)

stock type (folding = good, fixed = bad, both is = excellent) - folding stocks also have variations which influence value

safety (lever = bad, push button = good) - remember the spas actually has 2 safeties, and the "quick deployment" safety can be used as a primary saefty on a lever gun.

condition/existance of buffer.

muzzle device, sling, etc.
