For those who don't, I sent an extra $20 donation to scopeny and they give you a repeal the safe act sign... I put it up and one scumbag neighbor called the town building inspector to complain. I got a letter for being in violation of a town code. As per advice on this forum from nyshooter I could fight it on grounds of my 1st amendment rights... so I called the town BI and after telling him ill fight it in court he asked what kind of sign it was so I said a pro2a sign so he said leave it up. A week or so later he called me back because the **** nrighbor cried again and I said that I'm leaving it up. A day or so later my sign went missing (stolen, and probably by the *******s). So I wanted to buy a trail cam first so I could catch the thief and press charges(can't justify spending the money on one yet) before putting up another sign but I decided to make a sign of my own with plywood and I'm going to drive a couple 2x4 stakes in the ground so someone would have to really work to remove it.. here is a picture of the sign... tomorrow ill get a pic of it installed. Btw the stencils took quite a while to make and I rushed the paint work because I didn't want to wait for one side to dry filly before doing the back side (both sides are the same).

ok everyone. im going to keep any pertinent updates right here so its easy for everyone to be up to speed.

the long story short is i sent a donation to SCOPENY for one of their yard signs about repeal the safe act. i put up the sign and it disappeared. so i built a sign out of plywood and 2x4's and that went missing. after donations from all of you we got a trail cam and then a third sign went missing. i moved the trail cam and changed the settings and the 4th sign went missing just yesterday!

i was completely blown away when i saw it was the local PD that was taking my signs. i have a lot of respect for LEO's in general and have friends who are on the job. but this individual gets ZERO respect from me. i never received a citation of any sort for my sign being up, the LEO never knocked on my door to ask about the sign as my wife is home all day with our children.

so, i merely wanted to spread some awareness in my little corner of the world about our 2nd amendment rights only to find out that my 1st, 2nd, and 5th dont mean much to some people. its very disappointing.

i did two radio interviews yesterday with upstate NY radio hosts Tom Baurle 9-24 Tom Bauerle Show Hour 1

and Melodie Burns at about 4:05PM (dont have a link for that one).

ive been contacted by Foxnews.com and gave them a phone interview and pictures

i did a short interview for local Westchester News 12 last night that will air today at 5pm (i dont think i was at my best though so my fingers are crossed I came off as intelligent, my little guys were running around so it was hard to stay focused).

i have been contacted by a nation media outlet for an in studio tv interview and im working out scheduling and will announce when its set.

SCOPENY set up the radio interviews yesterday and are sending me some more free signs which is greatly appreciated! They have offered their support if needed additionally as well. So i would like to thank you to Steve Aldstadt for that!

ill try to keep good updates in this post so people dont have to read all the pages to get the gravy.

A webcam won't work because where its going isn't viewable from the windows. There is TONS of poison ivy around... but I like the idea of a cross member buried below grade... that's what I'm going to do. This scumbag neighbor has a video camera that they point right down towards where the sign will be so as these shutins sit and watch theit monitor they get to see my sign evety day...

id put up another easy to steal sign and a web/trail cam, make sure you get the neighbor for full blown robbery and not just attempted. then put in the permenant sign, serves them right, they had no right to take your property (assuming it was them)

I am torn between bait sign or build it bigger sign.

For $20 they have a little tag you can track with the GPS on a ipad. It might be neat to see where your stolen sign ends up.

Whether it was them ot just an anti gunner I'd love to catch them on film.... but since buying ammo (while we still can) is where I spend any extra penny I can is a higher priority that catching a scumbag who stole my yard sign; I figured whay better way to piss them off than to put up a bigger signthat they ccan't steal. Believe me though, I'd love to buy a trail camfor $80 (because I already found one)... but that 80 can buy ammo and with the uncertainty with this law I keep buying as much as I can afford ( and even can't afford).

That's a cool idea and I may try that at some point... but like I said above I really can't spend another dime for a while... I've pretty much dried up the well for now.
