Loaded up some 45acp with leadcast bullets to be used as range ammo. Ran into some federal match brass that had a military primer crimp and some speer brass with small primers. Who is the brain surgeon who thought of small primers/crimp for the 45 and why....

I wasn't aware of this either until i picked up my gallon zip lock bag full of .45 casings and had trouble seating some of the primers. I've never noticed a crimp, but the Federal mostly has the small primers. I will say that they leave a much cleaner pocket than the LP, but for some reason i'm just more comfortable shooting the LP than the SP
