I wanted to hear any feedback on the Yugo SKS'es , I know they are pretty reliable , I had A norinco SKS 15 years ago.
How the accuracy at 100 yards ? 1, 2, 4, MOA? Can you hit a 18 inch target @ 200 yards??

Go or no go?
SKS rifles tend to be of pretty similar quality, I own a 1955R Russian myself and I would say that if the shooter is decent it could hit an 18 inch target at 200 yards, I did a little shooting at what I estimated to be about 100 yards at a paper plate and was able to hit that pretty good once I figured out which way my rifle was drifting.

I have a nice Yugo that I am in the process of cleaning the ton of cosmo off. I thought about removing the grenade launcher and while doing research, it appears there may be issues with this "conversion" as it may take it out of C&R status. Can anyone weigh in on this?
I know that if you start adding new parts that it will mess with the C&R status and also require a full 922(R) conversion to stay federally legal, however I don't think removing some of the items will hurt, for example my SKS is missing the bayonet, cleaning kit and cleaning rod however it is still a C&R being from 1955

Chicken Shoot is more knowledgeable then I am with this stuff, so listen to him.

It WILL remove it from C&R status. You have then altered the weapon from it's original configuration.
So being mine is missing the bayonet and the cleaning kit parts is it no longer C&R? And do I need to make mine 922(R) compliant?

Ah ok, good information.

I personally wouldn't take off the launcher either, not much weight is going to be saved and I like the look of them with one on there, I want a Yugo myself even though I have a Russian.
