So I am in the market for a 22 cal pistol. Extremely interested in the new Ruger. The down side is I have heard a lot of bad stuff about the takedown lever having a design flaw that causes the lever to break and in some cases, also taking a pretty good chunk of the frame out with it. Any news of a design fix yet?

I have the sr22 and can see it being a design flaw but I haven't had any problem with mine. Its a well built pistol that looks like its older brothers

How many rounds do you have down the pipe? I have heard reports of this problem accuring anywhere between 80 and 1000 rds.
