Ive never had a jam in my buckmark using various types of .22lr over 1000 rounds. I love the gun and couldnt ask for more.

I have shot the Beretta enough to say it is not what you are looking for. I think the browning or ruger would both be exceptional shooters. Most of the time I pick Browning over Ruger, but I give the nod to the ruger in rimfires simply because I'm a big MKII and 10/22 fanboi.

If money wasn't part of the equation, I'd pick a Buckmark over a Ruger any time. I've owned and shot both a lot. Our Buckmark Target 5.5 is now my daughter's gun and it's had cases of ammo go through it. Ruger triggers pretty much always suck, Buckmark's are much better as a rule. I don't think one malfunctions more than the other though.

^^^ that buckmark is gorgeous. I'd go browning over ruger personally, I'd rather spend the $, get a better pistol that has no problems for any ammo than a cheap .22 that has worlds of problems and requires expensive ammo

I shoot rimfire matches twice a month here in PA and there are a ton of Rugers at the matches. MkII, MkIII, 22/45 several of each, probably more Rugers than any other brand. Most (including my 22/45) are running "bulk pack" ammo and rarely have issues. If I needed to buy again for some reason, I'd buy another 22/45.

All are good. I have the Beretta neo and Ruger 22/45.

A word to the wise. The ruger is a royal pain to clean and you might want to factor that in when buying. The only reason I bought one was because it was $175 on sale. I pour break free down it and then dry it with cloths.
