Have an 870 tactical that has been gathering dust for a while and would like to put a collapible or folding stock on it. Just thought I would get some davice before I buy. Thanks for the info!!!
Choate makes a stock that's both folding and collapsible. I have one one on a tactical conversion fo a 870 I'm working on now. The recoil pad isn't very thick though. I'll post some pics when it's done. Midway sells them.
Don't like the anti shock ones shot a friends a couple times felt like the recoil punched me in the face instead of the shoulder. Personally I'd rather keep the recoil it's a 12g reminds ya every time ya pull the trigger.
The Mako recoil reduction stock will not punch you in the face because it collapses straight back into the shoulder, not slide up into your cheek like the Blackhawk does.
I have a Choate top folder and I like it.
It's easy to operate compact and locks open rock solid. The down sides are a lack of cheek weld and a thin but pad.
