Ive got a stag Model 8 i'd really like a sling for; but I have no idea which one to get. Does anybody have any recommendations? Single or two point.

The best thing is to try them. What is good for one person is not good for another. I found standard two point slings are great for me because I was trained with those but other people work great with the single point. So there is no easy answer.

Nice! I was looking at the troy industries slings until you said that lol. I like the MS2 too
The MS3 is the updated version of the MS2. You will want to get the 3 as it has the updated hardware.

Not sure what your budget is but look at the Savvy Sniper slings, specifically the QUAD. It's similar to the Magpul in that it can be both 1 and 2 points (the SS slings actually pre-date the MS2/3 slings) and can be customized with your choice of attachment points and hardware.

oooooo, intriguing! My main objective is to have a reliable sling that's very durable—in the rings, hooks, and fabric.

I have a troy battle sling and I don't like it. The thick padding sounds like a good idea but there is nothing to keep the sling from rotating through the ring so the fat bad is always either on my back (useless) or on my front (between the buttstock and me).

Keep it simple. I have a $14 bungy single point for my carbine AR.It works well for what I have it on. 2 points for AKs in standard configuration. I tend to carry these Commie style. over the neck. Dont build a funnycar for a grocery getter. Go on feel, comfort and usfuleness for it purpose.
