Not legally, no. Can you? Probably.can i buy a semi auto out of ny and bring it back and register it within the year?
Hope so, yes. It's not an AW because it has no evil features (yet) even though it is a firearm. So can an AR stripped lower receiver still be sent to NY, it was legal a few days ago?
This.dont jump so soon, the law as written does not define pump action guns as assault weapons.
additionally, any pistols you own that are on your permit dont have to be registered as they already are.
That's what I was thinking.Hope so, yes. It's not an AW because it has no evil features (yet) even though it is a firearm.
But can a stripped lower ever be built into a rifle at all? Because as a rifle it will automatically be on the NYSP list of banned rifles.Hope so, yes. It's not an AW because it has no evil features (yet) even though it is a firearm.
No. they can give you the pistol, but can't give you the mags. Sorry.Still want a conclusive answer on the legality of purchasing a pistol with 10 rd mags. Do we still have 90 days or not?
As long as you do it before the end of the registration date (1/15/14) and you register it, its fine. If you do it after that, you are committing a crime. Love my state. ****ING love it.But can a stripped lower ever be built into a rifle at all? Because as a rifle it will automatically be on the NYSP list of banned rifles.
Thumb hole stock could make it an assault weapon. I'd change out the stock. Is this gun considered illegal now ? Its a Remington 597 Yellow Jacket .22 it has the open wooden stock.
Thanks ahead of time for any responses.
No, in 60 days.So private sales of firearms have to go through background checks now? Like if you buy a firearm out of the classified ads or at a gun show? What a bunch of bull****!!!!!!!
the ammo parts of the law don't start till next year, it's in the body of the bill - which the LGS's can now look up for themselves. Once they see the effective date on it they will relax. How will the state handle ammunition sales? I heard quite a few of my friends are having issues getting ammunition from shops. Either they're all out or simply won't sell.
