Remember Harry Reid changed the rules of the Senate so the Republicans couldn't stop it either. What then people? What do we do then if this happens?

This was a discussion topic on "The Five" today. It was brought up by Dana Perino, Bush's former press secretary. Bob Beckle also indicated this possibility on the show. I'll tell you what. If Obama want's a Communist long term legacy, putting Eric Holder on the Supreme Court would do it. That possibility should scare the crap out of all of us. Ginsburg was interviewed recently and said NO WAY..... ..because she believes no other progressive liberal [communist] like her could be confirmed in this political climate. this was reported by MSNBC. ...and the liberals are not happy with this statement by the ol witch.

My take on her decision not to retire is that even she recognizes what an evil, criminal, violationist POS Holder is, and that creating the vacancy that could put him on the SCOTUS and all of the damage he would would cause to our great nation would be her legacy...

Senate business for 2014 is OVER, between now and January they're effectively on vacation.

With the Fall elections around the corner, NOTHING gets done until the new Senate term in 2015.

If Ginsberg dropped dead tomorrow, we wouldn't have a replacement until next term.

Confirmation process takes time, and Pubs are going to have at least 50 votes in the Senate next term.

Even the RINOs realize how toxic Holder's been as AG, SCOTUS isn't going to happen.

The nuclear option DOES NOT apply to SCOTUS, only to the lower courts. 60 votes are still needed to confirm a new Supreme Court Justice. Even if the Senate makeup remained identical to it's current state after November, they D's couldn't place Holder on SCOTUS with a simple majority vote.

That was my understanding as well. Reid's rule change is a concern because the Democrats could stack the DC Circuit court of appeals, not the SCOTUS.

The rule change does not apply to Supreme Court nominations or to legislation.

Agree, what's a better way to keep all the dirty little secrets under wraps while simultaneously starting fresh with another new "progressive" AG that has a few years to do damage before their wretched anti American legacy leaks out and he/she resigns.
