So Ive been on Medication Assisted Treatment since 2008 and plan on staying on the rest of my life. Why you might ask? I'll tell you.. I believe and so does the medical community that addiction is a chronic disease. So like with all chronic disease there are medications you should talked to help with treatment. For instance you can try living with diabetes without insulin and just a good healthy lifestyle but it's more conducive is insulin is added to the treatment. Same with my MAT.
With that out of the way. Now that my life is better I've made some positive changes and became a security officer. Of course I would like more money so I want to become an armed guard but I need a pistol permit. Is it possible for me does anyone know for sure..like a lawyer? I could really use the information so I know what I should do.
Thanks for your time.

Not being rude but it will never happen. It’s illegal to possess a gun if you are addicted to any drug. Your treatment will likely pop in the system and you will be denied for a permit as well as purchasing any gun. It’s right on the 4473 form for a NICS check. They ask for references and medical records. Doesn’t matter if the democrats try to say drug addiction/use is a disease or not they hate guns more. Democrats routinely speak out of both sides of their mouths.
