I bought a Saiga 12 and went to work on converting it. This is what I did to it:
1. Returned trigger group to its original configuration with an Arsenal two stage trigger group.
2. Removed gas block and widened gas ports.
3. Welded upper handguard retainers to gas tube.
4. Welded HK front sight to gas block.
5. Welded HK rear drum sight to top cover.
6. Custom fitted and refinished the AK furniture in Russian Red.
7. Installed an MD Arms V-Plug for reliability.
8. Installed a Titanium Gas Puck.
9. Installed a Breacher Brake.
10. Installed a Dinzag Lower Handguard Retainer.
11. Polished Bolt and underside of Bolt Carrier for reliability.
12. Blasted every part down to the bare metal and refinished everything in Matte Black Duracoat.

I'll let the pics speak for themselves. Let me know what you guys think!

What a beautiful piece. Very nice work. Where did you find the Russian red stain?

Nice work, it's always good to see a clean non hacked up S12.

Thanks guys! I have done many Saiga conversions and I always try to make the present one better than my previous project. I plan to get my FFL and become a full time gunsmith when I retire in a few years.

I think this is the best looking conversion I have seen of a Sagia shotgun in NYS configuration, well done.
