are there any pre ban mags to use in a .22 upper? i think iv seen stick mags with a mag well box, anyone know of anything that exists? or something to search for to find something. not that I'm apposed to 10 rounds but would rather be able to have more. also my upper is a Chiappa M4 22

Yes they exist. Ceiner or Atchison and I think Colt made a few conversion kits. I have two of the 30 round pre-ban steel Ceiner magazines. Careful, some are not pre-ban at all and have no markings.

figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. time to find one or some? $50 a decent price to find them for?
