OK, lose the GD evidence and hang him in a tree, the stupidity of this is that these dumb ass lawyers know that the evidence is reviewable by the prosecution, WTF is wrong with our Country, lets get back to some of the basics, let justice prevail! Scumbag! Watching himself abuse kids on tape. Why doesn't this judge stand up for what is right vs what the law actually says. I know this sounds so WAY off base but WTF, come on people. Let a higher judge tell this judge he can't do that. Doesn't want to lose his high paying job. I tell my boss like it is. He doesn't like it but he knows I am right when I speak up. He doesn't agree thouigh he knows I am right. Pussification of America. Ok, I'm done, thank you.

If your arrested with illegal guns and ammo this would be a great loophole. For him mandatory castration by pit bull.

I dunno. I don't like it, but I'd hate to see more judges making special rules for cases, as I'd hate to be the one having a special rule laid against me or my defense lawyer that prohibits me from getting as fair a trial as possible.

But then again, Huffy makes this sound like he's not doing it to get a fair trial, but just to get his jollies, in which case I can see that it'd be fair to stick him with charges for viewing child pornography.

Put a CCTV camera in the room, and as soon as he does anything but "watch", slap him with another charge, and use the video as evidence of a new crime.
Yes, it sucks, but to be honest, the damage to the kids has been done. He's acting as his own lawyer, so he can review the evidence. A criminal defense lawyer can have an expert examine a firearm for the defense, so I guess he's admitting he's an expert in child pornography by demanding to see the evidence.
It's sickening, and I'd like to see him burned alive for it, but him watching the tapes again isn't going to make it any better for him in court, so....
Let him watch, then lock him away for life.

locking away for life is not a good cost effective measure
Sadly, with all the appeals, and last second bull**** that gets pulled with capitol punishment cases, life may very well be cheaper. Besides, a month or two in general population might solve the issue much faster than the solitary confinement of Death Row.
My personal idea of "justice" in this case would involve a meat cleaver, smelling salts, and an anticoagulant, but alas, we don't have justice for people that rape children.

Reading the headline makes this sound more than it actually is. The guy is representing himself, as we would all have the right to do so as Americans, and by such he is allowed to review the evidence that is being used against him in the court. Not to mention that he is only going to be allowed to view evidence while under supervision from an investigator.

Like it or not we have a justice system in this nation that proclaims that ALL are innocent until proven guilty - that is something people need to learn to deal with and remember that it is a product of our fore fathers living under a system of rule that didn't have that presumption of innocence. Unless you all think we should go back to the way things were under King George ;)

Absolutely guygus - I just like to play devil's advocate now and then (keeps things interesting lol). But we should be cautious when it comes to allowing emotions to trump constitutional rule, too often people are ready to condemn people and bypass rule of law or in the case of everyone here on the board's hobby, sacrifice freedom for security.

I am sure that he will get some "special" attention while in jail. Karma is a bitch.
