Ok ... 1996 Neon. I have an engine built for this car sitting on the stand in the garage to show the youngin's around here that a fart can and hot air intakes aren't what makes the car go fast!! Right now it's the daily driver though. I picked up this spoiler cheap and was wondering if you think it's too small (as in width wise) or if it would look ok? I know I don't NEED down force on a front wheel drive going straight, so an over the top monster spoiler is really not needed .. but maybe it would look better?? Gotta have alittle show as well as go for this car! It actually appears to be nearly right as far as catching the air coming over the top as it's nearly as wide as the rear window at the bottom.

I know the color is throwing it off some, but if I decide to install it it would be painted the same color as the car of course. Just trying to get things together for when this gets painted this winter. (Body kit on the way as well) ... and yes ... that's a Federal 550 box holding up the wood which is holding up the spoiler!! LMAO!! This car will have nyfirearms.com on it in a few places. I'm thinking a gun theme paint job ... whatcha think?? How about a Parkerized finish? Hahaha

Need a push?? Dang ... my snowmobile did 9.39 at 140mph and that's AFTER the center cylinder burned out at the 1/8 mark ..... .3 second off the world record at the time. Ran it at Lebanon Valley Dragway. LOL (record was 9.09 @ 139mph) Of course you had to lay down on it and its was a Decker Chasis.

So... DOES THE DAMN SPOILER LOOK OK???? Hahaha

(full tube chassis and alot of work is how it's done but damn dude!! You're giving it away!! and actually it's a 383 with a built 727 trans with a narrowed Ford 9" rear w/Strange axles I have ready for it but don't tell anyone!! Actually that's a lie ... I agree with 1uglyfox. Ditch the wing. I spend a lot of time on the track. Not the quarter mile killer track either. The Glen, Lime Rock...etc. Wings have a use, they are not for looks. Do I have a few cars with spoilers,yes, all very necessary and function ones though. Sell the wing and use the extra few bucks you save on HP,Suspension,and brakes.

I'm sure members who've donated to the sight and bought swag to use in public would be especially interested in thier being directly associated with the rep of those things and thier owners.

Perhaps while you await our arrival you can sit in the nearest to a residetial neighborhood commercial parking lot at 3AM and rattle some windows for an hour or two with your pimpin' fly 4 jigawatt sound system so all can experience the finer points of the fruit of your labors whether they want to or not.

I see you've made the required amount of passes in the 9's or less without wrecking and passed the FAA Physical to be running that quick!!! Good for you!! Nice run too!! I know about HP to weight ratio. I've built many cars including Busch Grand National North NASCAR Series cars (Jerry Rose/Brian Ross) as well as drag cars. No stranger to the track or little tricks of the trade. (I'd tell you some stories but I don't want people to get the ideas from me and then POOF!!!!) LOL The wing is pure looks. It's not adjustable and this isn't a road racing car. This will be a "play with the younger crowd" type of mess around car. SO .... I've decided on this .... I'm installing an umbrella that I can open from the cockpit too!!! Just like that stang ya got!!! LMAO
