Saw the Space Shuttle saddled to a 747 fly by our building today. No more than 1 mile away. That's something you don't get to see everyday and pretty cool...

I think they strap it to a 747-800.

I toured the Everett in Washington. Talk about amazing! If you fly at all, this plant make gigantic look small. Something like 2 miles to walk around. So big in fact that they had to put a high tech air system in of some sort to stop it from raining inside the plant! The tour was something like 2+hrs and the ticket was around $20. If you get a chance, do it.

We got a nice flyover at my job in Yonkers. I think the entire shop was standing outside. It was pretty cool to see the shuttle piggybacking on a jet escorted by fighter jets.

OK, sometimes being in NYC has its perks
So between taxes, assinine laws and policies and any other number of NYC specific piss~people~off things its actually been a fair trade because for one singular time in thier lives people got to see an aircraft fly over carrying cargo that will be parked somewhere the public can see it every single day?

If someone drives a one off (making it rarer than a shuttle mind you) Ferrari prototype concept car past your house once can they kick you in the nuts every day for as long as you stay within the bounds of the city? It seems like a simular exchange to me :)

A lot bigger than it looks on TV though, ain't it.

And completely off topic because the nuts thing sparked a memory:
Women say child birth is akin to a guy taking a kick in the nuts AFA pain level.
But after a couple years they always want another kid, though no matter how many years pass you never hear a guy say they'd like another kick.
