Funny, I'm watching Revolution on NBC and the New Republic has the "Delaware Doctrine" that states anyone in possession, using any firearm will be punished with death, except Militia loyal to the Republic. This is our future and we haven't gone thru a world ending black out yet...

They do realize that without a warrant, and having done nothing wrong, the American people don't care if they can or can't, we aren't going to let them inside, and the minute they push past us into our own homes we are going to shoot them. They can claim they can do this all they want, the reality is they can do it maybe 2 or 3 times before a revolution starts, and they know it.

On a pure mathamatical angle, even if only 1/3 of owners repondend with legimate self defence in thier homes, and half or so manged to kill or severly wound a minimum of two door beaters (presuming local LEA won't get involved due to actual morals and the knowledge that their families live too close to both hide and defend 24/7) that after a very short time attrition will all but put them out of the collecting business.
Strategically the tactic would be sucessful as more and more manpower would be tied up with each individual break in simply to try and defend themselves. This leaves more breathing room for other citizens to prep, bulk up defenses or even come to the aid of thier neighbor(s)
Psychologically it has an edge too as the alphabet agencies will have more and more difficulty replenishing thier ranks because no one but dumbasses and low life mercenaries would deliberately seek that sort of work as a carreer path.
By low life mercs, thats exactly what I mean: sell thier mom for a buck. I do not mean private security firm type folks. Not roving mall guards or parking police suplied by billybobs wacky wailing inflatable balloon men and gate guard emporium, but actual well trained well armed professionals who in general would likely not participate in such things as they are more along the lines of defenders and I'd like to think they are to professional and morally good enough to see the truth. (however they may likely take a neutral stance up until there was imminent risk to thier clientel, and then on participate long enough to eradicate that threat)

If that article had any merit or truth to it, and I'm not saying it doesn't have something right, the NRA would be ALLLLL over it, it'd be in headline news as that's a pure slap in the face to the NRA, the American people and the beliefs upon which this Republic was built!! Now ... on the other hand, there could be some truth to that and noone really wants anyone to know in which case, that would make the NRA public enemy #2 for gun owners. Pretty high on the list and I'm sure they wouldn't really want to be there.
If that article had ANY merit, the impeachment process would have been started .... which it should have been started 6 months after obummer was put in the White House!!!
