Does anyone know if NYC will accept the CA version of the Walther P22? It has a threaded barrel, but is supposedly "disabled" permanently.

the firearm itself is "disabled", or the threads on the barrel are "disabled"? there is precedent for the NYPD to allow otherwise objectionable firearms to be possessed after they have been permanently altered to fire only a special low power 9 mm blank cartridge. I ones I've seen were all possessed for use as theatrical prop firearms. an event like the Al Baldwin shooting could never happen in NYC because legal theatrical prop firearms are all permanently altered and will not accept live ball ammunition.
