No paperwork to own a car, and you can have any feature you want on a "race car" including nitrous and other features "no one needs". No limit on the size of your gas tank. Automatic transmissions and mufflers are common features. You only need paperwork to use a car on a public road and they are common, and that paperwork is shall issue.
Lets translate that into guns:
No paperwork to own anything, including full auto and suppressors or to use it on private property. No paperwork to transport anything as long as it is in an inoperable state (being trailered...). You only need paperwork to have a fully functional gun on public property, and that paperwork is issued to anyone who can prove that they can hit the broad side of a barn they are standing in, and that they know you can't shoot people at random (about as rigorous as a road test and the written permit test).
I'd love to see guns regulated the same way cars are.
