I will be at this show looking for some items i need, figured i would post up the event in case anyone didn't know about it. I have not been to this show yet, but i have heard its decent for its size. It isnt far from my home so i pretty much feel like i have to go just for something to do.

I will be there thanx for the heads up, stupid me thought it was on the 11th! haha.

I've gone 3 years in a row, more then a decent size its pretty good if you ask me, I got 6 of my firearms there so far.

Get there EARLY, you wanna be among the first dozen to get in the door, IMMEDIATELY hustle around and hawk for things on your list, good deals last 30 seconds in there.

Here is a god example, second year I went, I wanted an AK style rifle, I get there, I go in, it opened at 9 sharp I was in the door, made a left hand turn and headed 2 tables down, I saw my prize, a WASR 10/63 sitting there with a boresight on the table so the seller could prove it had no canted sights, and a mag in the mag well to test for wobble, all in all it seemed to be a pretty decent WASR, looked at the price, "400 W/tax" it read, looked brand new if used at all it was very lightly, this was now 9:04am, I picked it up, I looked it over quickly, I looked up at the seller and he says "Sorry buddy, been sold, there's the gentleman filling out the papers, over there."

So yea, 400 dollar WASR, gone in 4 minutes of the doors opening, you have to move fast.

Good to hear it is a pretty good show. I probably wont be buying any complete rifles, looking for AR, and SKS parts and maybe some ammo if its cheap, and a shotgun scabbard. I will try to get there early though just in case, thanks for the heads up, its good to hear it is a place to get some deals, i think small shows are probably our best bets at deals. I think any great buys at big shows are bought by other vendors early and they sell them for fair prices and make a little.

I kind of bought my last AR lower out from a guy like that, checked it out, paid for it, had to wait for a guy for paper work and someone tried to buy it after i had paid. I saw him look at it before i did, he went around the rest of the show as did I, i just did it fast and returned to buy it then then wandered more.

Yea there are good deals there, I got a universal M1 Carbine for $225 at one of the really small ones, and 2 preban mags for it for 5 bucks each, was a hell of a deal.

The fact that its on a Sunday makes it easier for me to attend, so that's great. Hopefully i can find something good there, i will be hitting the overtime at work as much as i can until then so i will have some $ to play with.

Will any NYF members have tables there? It would be nice to pick some stuff up from someone here, and support the members.

There was an insane amount of spectators there, very crowded. Much of what was at the Lisle show was in Oneonta. Decent deals on Mosins at one table, same table i got my lower from at Lisle. They were fast and easy guys to deal with. I almost picked one up but decided against another caliber. Bought a bunch of 7.62x39 ammo though.

good to hear the big turnout. CnRnut filled me in a bit today with reportedly how the show was (mutual friend of ours was able to go).

Like I said, if i can make a future one, that would be great. Id love go to.

I almost walked out of there with a bushy, saw a preban olympic arms for $1250 (meh), and a .45 upper with Olympic mags for $750 (not this lifetime). I was inches away though from buying a 64 10/22....I doubt that left with the seller. Good show, I picked up a new carry handle sight for one of my builds and bought a few odds and ends, not bad, damn crowded by 10 and the line was outside of the building at the open

make sure the carry handle is a legit forged marked one..not one of the $15-25 airsoft junkers that are pushed at the shows. Weight alone will tell you if its a good one.
