"Why do we let these spectators carry guns!? This is what CCW permits lead to!"

I didn't read were anyone had a carry permit.
It was an assumption that lawfully armed citizens came to the defense of the intended targets. Kind of hard to tell if they were all gangbangers or some were honest citizens. Returned fire from the crowd doesn't exactly equal either criminal or lawful defensive activity.

Being curious about some of the comments in regards to who was doing the shooting, I found this:

http://www.deloc.org/docs/Delaware_Firearms_Laws.pdf

Skimming thru, it seems to read that residents of the fine state of Delaware can carry concealed w/ permit, but I didn't go in to super detail about the whens & hows

Deleware is a "May Issue" state like NY, MA and MD...and it is actually very difficult to obtain a permit to carry in DL(harder than NY,but not quite as hard as MD) if you are not LE or someone that routinely carrys high value items.

I would guess, there was no license to carry between either the perp or the defenders.

I would also guess that those that returned fire will never be identified.
