I know it's been talked about before but I thought it would start a new one. USMCVeteran and I were messaging about this and will post everything up to this point.

I am sure you have all heard about the birthers movement and that they say obama is not a citizen. Well to be honest I never really gave it much thought because I always assumed that since he became president he was vetted to ensure he met the requirements to be president. It turns out that his Birth certificate he released and posted on the white house website was a forgery and apparently his lawyer who represented him in NJ over being placed on ballot there for this election admited that the birth certificate is in fact a forgery. So from what I can tell in my 20 minutes of research is that there is no official vetting and you do not have to prove citizenship to run and become president. So I just thought that was interesting and BS and even if Obama is a natural born citizen then why post a forged birth certificate to begin with?
On a side note does anyone know what laws would be broken by even creating a forged birth certificate?

I am not sure why the forged birth certificate is not being investigated more. Even though Obama didnt forge it himself he had to obviously know the document was forged and let is be passed of as real.
I found this in the constitution.
Section 4 - Disqualification
The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachmentfor, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.
So my interpratation is that if a President commits a crime he has to go to trial if his crimes fit with the above which this one might. If military is held to a higher standard then I think the President should as well.

Considering the President is military (Command and Chief), he should be held to the same standard as anyone serving. I will definitely have to look into the links you posted.
I think he basically bribed everything to drop the case. To get this investigated more the people need to demand it, in order for it to go anywhere.

I find it completely strange that its not all over the news that his own laywer admits they posted a forged birth certificate and blows it off as being nothing. I think that investigations should be done on every person running for president to ensure the minimum qualifications are met.
From what I read normal people cant sue either to force candidate to prove citizenship. It has to pretty much be the other party running and at this point I really dont know if both parties are really different or just one.
