I recently picked up a spas 12 and everything looks great but due to its age the folding stock and heat shield has seen better days and parts for these things are very rare and expensive. If I cerakote any of the parts do you think it will loss value if I do that or what I want a nice fresh looking look black not anything crazy what do you guys think?

If there's not much in the way of finish left on it anyways, what do you have to lose? And the groves under the forend will probably hold up better than the original finish, too.

It won't hurt the value,go for it....! The really older guns such as Winchesters and Garands are the type of guns a prospective collector would want left untouched if he/she were looking at the value of the weapon.

sure it will be fine, but remember, due to the forend being in direct contact with the heatshiled while pumping...it will wear the finish again no matter how you coat it.
