When we built our garage in 1974 we put corrugated aluminum sheet roofing on. It's still on there today and still looks great. Snow slides right off unless we get an unusual winter when the temperature never gets above 25 or so. I don't know if aluminum corrugated is still available in the marketplace but it proved to be a very wise investment for us.
