I spent the last 7 years of work in the North Country of NY, where snow is measured in feet.
Many homes up there have the steel roofs.
I had some damage in the wind storm last weekend and it appears as if my 25year old shingles may need replacing.
I live in a Lake Effect Zone and was wondering if snow packs on to these roofs and then comes sliding down.
Those steel roofs sure look nice.
Any one have any pros and cons from first hand experience.
I know they cost about 3 times what shingles do.
