I can look over my computer right now at one of those fake flagpole towers. I've always wondered what the hell it is for. It certainly doesn't look like a normal cell tower.

on the hutch in white plains, there is a large cell phone tower disguised as a tree (i actually like that idea), but then a half mile down the road there is another tower that looks like a cell tower, but shorter.... and there is a cell phone dead zone right there too. wonder what that tower is actually for.

Well Hell, since the air ways are not private according to US government , I guess a bunch of other entity's want in on the free info.


Maybe police? Maybe corporations or credit card thieves? maybe information is sold ? WHo the hell knows, but at least its all legal .

I take the hutch from New Rochelle to 287 every day going and coming from work. I know about the tree tower but I have to look for the other tower and check my cell signal in that area.

So that's what that new tower is by the Oakdale Mall in JC ...... I thought it was a cell tower with really really bad location planning. I see it a few times a week and thought it wasn't tall enough for a cell tower.

I passed by the new "cell" tower in JC today and thought to look at my signal strength, only 2 bars where I should have had a full 5 bars on the Verizon LTE network with my iPhone 5s.
