...and my first buck with a bow! Been gun hunting for years, but just started bow hunting this year. 45 yard shot! He ran for 75 yards before the arrow cam out and he finally dropped 15 yards after that.

Congrats on the buck, i've never shot a cross bow but would like to give it a try.

don't know if this is the right post to ask this, but:
is it possible to drop a deer dead in his track with a bow arrow? Or always there is some suffering involve?
Double loung shot will be very quick....From what I understand with a good shot, a lot of the time the deer doesn't know what hit them. They feel the impact and hear the noise and react. Then they lay down and bleed out pretty quickly....Ever slice your self with a razor and not know it until there is blood all over.
