Once again this month we will be at the Monroe County Legislature meeting on Sept. 11 6pm Monroe county office building, 39 W. Main St to advocate for changing the county parks law prohibiting all firearms, including licensed concealed carry.

This law is obviously unconstitutional and under NYS law illegal and unenforceable. That doesn't mean it is not a danger to you the gun owner.

We have been trying for a number of years to get the law repealed or changed to at least allow licensed concealed carry but have been consistently put off by the Republican leadership. Most notabley this year County Executive(and congressional candidate) Maggie Brooks and County Republican Chairman Bill Reilich have refused to help us with this change.

For this months legislature meeting we have Larry Pratt of Gun Owners of America(GOA) coming in to speak at the public forum on this issue.

We need a large crowd of supporters there for this event, please make every effort to attend. It wouldn't hurt to have multiple speakers on the subject. If you want to speak you need to sign up in advance by calling 585 753-1950 and getting on the list of speakers.

Again Tuesday Sept. 11 6pm 4th floor of the Monroe County Office building.
