I think from what I understand, NY bans magazines that have the capacity of MORE than 10 rounds, meaning 11 or more. But, you can only load 7 rounds into it, unless you are at a range. Because you know, criminals will certainly listen to that, and they tend to use historical rifles when committing crimes!
New York limits any person to putting seven rounds of ammunition into a magazine, unless the person is at an incorporated firing range or competition.
Obligatory I am not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV. Confirm with your Sheriff's office. Also, I had an out of state gun dealer tell me just a couple days who when talking to them that they have had to call the NY SAFE Act office on multiple occasions to run scenarios by them to ensure what they were doing/selling to a buyer in NY was legal. He said that the people there are very friendly and helpful, not all gun-hating Karens like he was expecting. So maybe give them a call, or your local Sheriff.
