I've heard there are some restaurants in the US that also encourage open carry. How cool would that be in western New York?

Well i gotta say im not the beliver in no background checks guns for all in the wide open view..there are plenty o wackos that would harass people..call me crazy, but i agree with some of our laws (ye common sense kinds only though)

I'm not sure what background checks have to do with a business proprietor allowing people to open carry in his/her establishment.

As far as wackos harassing people, try going to a major national level shooting competition. You'll never be around a larger group of openly armed people outside of the military, and you'll probably never be around an overall friendlier group of people either. Wackos intent on harassing people aren't prone to show up at such places. They usually prefer to make trouble at designated gun free zones.
