Anyone know the process of getting a replacement premise permit in nyc. I lost mine not sure how to get a replacement. Also my renewal was up in 2025 would I be able to apply for carry under the new law during this process.

Two separate issues. Report your lost premises. Separately apply for a Carry. I have a premises (for 40 years), just got my carry approval - two separate permits.

You will need the new 16+2 hour training prior to applying for your carry permit. I think it’s rather expensive but good luck.

Hi, You do not need your 16+2 prior to or when applying for NYC Carry, you need to present the certificate at issuance time. If you want you can submit it during investigation (probably at least 6 months into the process - took me 8 months and I was ahead of the big rush) along with the other docs they will request during the investigation.

All counties are different but all the ones around me you need it at time of application or they will not even accept the application but that’s a good way to do it.
I would however confirm this is still the case since maybe when you were applying this was all relatively new? I don’t know and NYC’s crap is too complicated for me to keep track of.

NYC is certainly different from all other counties. This info is fairly current, as the snippet below is from the email I received on 2/10/2023 when an investigator was assigned to my app, which I had submitted (as a new app in addition to my existing Premises) at the end of June 2022 right after Bruen and which was approved on 2/23/2023.

But as you say it could change, and also it could be that since I applied before CCIA took effect I might have gotten in under the wire.

Thanks I send a email as it says on Monday and still haven’t heard back from anyone yet
