Oh cool... gun made in Deer Park, NY - grew up right next to Deer Park in North Babylon - and looking on Google, I used to work across the street from where they make it.

Is that the R9? How well does it shoot?
R9, correct. It is a very fine shooting firearm. It does exactly what it is made for. The original factory was in Farmingdale, the guns carry a premium.

How do you like the Smith 1911?
It's rapidly becoming my favorite 45 auto. The gun costs about $1100, but imo, it's comparable to guns 2x it's price. It gobbles up 45's of all shapes and sizes, and is a tack driver. I was a little hesitant about buying this gun for the price, but as soon as I saw it knew it was a bargain. The S&W 45 ACP's are vastly underrated imo. I waited over a year to get this one, and glad I did.

Any issues with it at all? Accuracy?
I just bought one and took it to the range today. Very accurate and it ate Federal bulk, Winchester Super X, American Eagle and CCI Mini-mags with no issues.
