I have an AK47 SAR-1, it DOES NOT have a folding stock, if I was to get one from a friend who no longer wants it to sell on here for use with PREBAN only rifles, would it be illegal for me to posses the stock and an AK that could fit the stock, but not together?

I don't want to post an ad on here for a folding stock (or any other place to sell) and unknowingly be opening myself up to a felony because I have a rifle that can use the folding stock, so that is my question, does this work anything like that ammo in the car law? If u have ammo and a gun in a car in the same spot it is "loaded"

if I have a folding stock and a rifle that could possibly fit it on there is it considered "mounted"?

The stock isn't illegal. The only thing that makes the stock illegal is being on a semi-auto firearm with 1 other evil feature.
