I have them on my shotgun rails. They are good for protecting hands from the sharp rail edges, and I like the fact that they are low profile. They aren't super secure though since they don't lock on.
I don't have those exact ones but the ones that came with my DD Omega rail look very much like that and cover all of the sharp edges. Nice thing about that kind as you can easily cut them to fit around stuff you have attached to the rail.
I use Magpul ladders to cover up the top rail space that isn't used, but also use their XTM's and XT's too. There are a million ways you could go with rail covers so try to find what works best for you.
