It was fours years ago today, right around this time of the afternoon that Rochester Police Officer Anthony DiPonzio was shot in the back of the head with a .22 from approx 75 yards away. He was rushed to RGH in the back of a patrol car and underwent surgery led by Dr. Paul Maurer.

Everyone has seen his story and progress through the media over thes past 4 years. He now works full-time conducting background investigations on potential officers, firefighters, 911 employees, etc.
He still doesn't have any use of his left hand and has limited use of his left leg but has adjusted well.

His determination to overcome this and get back to work is something that still amazes us all.
