According to the laws it's not... But it is here for sale at a gun shop. And I think the semi auto benelli m4 with a pistol grip would fall under the awb too but it is for sale at gander mountain.

I know you can get a legal version of it. Without looking up the law I think the shell capacity has to be lowered to make it legal.

The AWB mentions that detachable magazines and pistol grips are ok if the mags are only 5 rounds. As he says in the video, he had his 10 round magazine custom made, they're not commercially available.

Basically if you have a fixed or detachable magazine on the shotgun it can only hold 5 shells or less and your good to go. More then that and it becomes and assault weapon.

I adapted a us made contender stock to the saiga 12 so it would allow for 10rounders legaly.
Not the prettiest but a nice fit when mounting the gun and all Newyorkistan legal.

Sorry, it was an Encore stock vs. the contender.
The Encore is a rifle stock is a plain hunting/target rifle stock so cannot fall into the pistol category ever. In fact this has never been
debated in any court as far as I know.
The thumb-hole instead has been brought into court in the peoples republic's of Califoristan so that's why I went with this adaptation.
In case a persecutor decides to confiscate this one they will have a very hard time explaining how this is a pistol grip.

I chose this one because seemed it will give me a nice angle w/o being too far from the trigger. Also the comb raised makes it perfectly aligned with the sights, actually quite comfortable and quick to shoulder.

I used a TC Encore rifle stock in the polymer version they have...

Tell them what needs to be done and they will surprise you with their ingenuity.

For every antigun action there is a reaction. That's one of the laws of physics, isn't it? lol!

Thanks mang. This was a learning project. Next conversion Vers 2.0 will look a tad better.
I have a few other Saiga 12's to tinker with and try different things.
I am considering one in all nice US Made tiger mapple hardwood stock and handguard. not decided yet.
We'll see what happens next.
