Was just talking about this with my brother for some reason. He lives in Georgia now and most down there seem to call it soda. We have always called it pop.

Ive used both. Growing up it was always Pop. Then I spent four years in FL (tampa) for college and everyone called it soda. So now it's just whatever comes out

Aside from loaning out my can of Troll Spray, I call it POP!

But there should be more options to choose from like:
-Cola
-DEW!

In Buffalo we drink pop but in Rochester they drink soda.

I love buffalo, pop comes with 50% vodka already in it. ...at least in most bars.

I was brought up in the Boston area....there it was "tonic".
Soda DID have ice cream in it.
Now I just ask for a beer, it really simplifies things.

Always called it soda, but where I work it's called manufacturing soft drink. Says so on the business license, lol.

It's soda around here. I remember being in Texas and asking for a soda and having to argue that I did not want ice cream in my "soda water", their term for soda or pop, whichever you prefer.
