Several union leaders known to be unhappy with Governor Cuomo have nonetheless decided not to endorse his opponent in the Democratic Party, Zephyr Teachout, because he is a heavy favorite to win re-election and they fear he would later punish them for bucking him. The one notable exception is the Public Employees Federation, which endorsed her Aug. 14. Should those other disenchanted unions stay neutral because of the overwhelming likelihood that they will still have to deal with Cuomo for the next four years?
