Interesting post, though, I have to wonder...is it truly just the Democratic Party that caused Detroit's death spiral? I mean, the Republicans in this state (and in many others) aren't exactly joys either. I wonder if there were other societal factors that have caused that (movement of industry overseas, breakdown of traditional family, etc.) that created that decline. I guess what I'm saying is that there's probably plenty of blame to go around. Not the least of which is the fact that there is this huge entitlement complex among individuals which from my readings on the subject seem to have begun in earnest in the 1960s.

You're correct that there are many areas to place blame on all political parties BUT ... the facts above are merely from a mayoral position which is pretty damn localized (i.e-NYC) and one would think that those facts based on one city in the US of which we've seen it's demise is exactly what's going to be happening all over where a democrap is in power. NY is governed by an ******* who belongs to which political party again? My opinion is ALL political parties should be abolished and never be allowed to be formed again. All they are good for is dividing the nation and further destroying America. I personally believe we are under a one party system right now but hey .... the facts above are facts. No pointing the finger here. If you have to wonder what the democraps are all about .... look around. As Americans are being beheaded, the head terrorist democrap in charge is out golfing. Running the entire Union just like Detroit was ...... without a care .... just there to remain a lawless criminal and collect money. Listen to the debate that Astorino and Teachout had today ..... there's no denying where we're headed should the agenda of the democraps be allowed to remain in this country. $15/hr minimum wage the dem wants ..... tell me how a small business is going to survive in UPSTATE NY if this is signed into law?? You seriously have to listen to it. I can't believe someone as dumb as that woman is backed by anyone. Her reasoning and excuses are so far out there that noone with common sense could even fathom them.

The term "Progressive" is synonymous with "Communist". The North Koreans were calling themselves progressives during the Korean War. Apparently our education system fails to mention this to the students. As the elders who remember die off, the truth is forgotten.
